Not gonna lie...I was sort of dreading this trip to the North Woods of Wisconsin with my husband's family.  I saw pics of the house online and there were more animal heads on the walls than beds in the rooms.  

But I should have been patient and I owe my in-laws an apology because regardless of where they are, they do still like to cocktail.  At 5.  Every night.  So there's that.  And honestly, what could be more perfect than celebrating LOVE (my in-laws are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary!) in a warm and wonderful place (cranberries are like thanksgiving - warmth, home, family) with family from near and far over cranberry rose cosmo cocktails?  By the side of a lake.  With the most beautiful sunset.  

Light pollution seems SO heinous and awful when you find yourself closer to nature.
